the GMC CCKW Group Build
In May 2016, AMPS-CV members decided to create a GMC CCKW 2 1/2-ton truck group display for AMPS 2017. The final display featured 15 variants in 1:35 scale. Ashley Abernathy coordinated the project and with Frank Blanton and John Robinson constructed a display board looking like the front of a CCKW. Ashley’s daughters painted the board, with Tori contributing the “Deuces Wild” logo. The final display was finished just in time to unveil at AMPS 2017 in Danbury, CT.
